Common Help
- Make sure Pomates is updated to the latest version available from the App Store or TestFlight.
- If timer alerts are not appearing, check that notifications are enabled for Pomates in iOS Settings.
- If a timer does not look right, try closing and reopening Pomates, then starting a new focus session.
- If Pomates behaves unexpectedly after an iOS update, restarting your iPhone can refresh system timers, widgets, and notification permissions.
Apple Watch
- Confirm the Pomates watch app is installed from the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Keep your iPhone and Apple Watch nearby while starting or changing a session.
- If the watch timer does not update, open Pomates on both iPhone and Apple Watch to refresh the connection.
- Check that both devices are running current versions of iOS and watchOS.
App Blocking and Screen Time
- Pomates uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks to let you choose apps to block during focus sessions.
- If app blocking is not working, check that Screen Time permission is enabled for Pomates.
- You may need to reselect blocked apps if Screen Time permissions were reset or changed in iOS Settings.
- Pomates is a focus tool and is not a parental control or medical app.
Widgets and Live Activities
- If a widget or Live Activity does not update immediately, open Pomates to refresh the current session.
- Check that Live Activities are enabled for Pomates in iOS Settings if they are not appearing.
- Some updates may be limited by iOS background activity and battery settings.
