Pomates Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
Pomates is designed to be a simple, local-first focus timer. We do not sell personal information, do not show ads, and do not use third-party tracking.
Information Pomates Stores
Pomates may store the following information on your device so the app can work:
- Timer settings, presets, themes, and app preferences
- Current session state, so timers can continue or recover when the app moves between iPhone, Apple Watch, widgets, and Live Activities
- Local focus/session history used inside the app
- App-blocking selections and Screen Time permission state needed to block distracting apps during focus sessions
This information is used to provide Pomates features. Pomates does not require an account or login.
Screen Time and App Blocking
Pomates uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to let you choose apps to block during focus sessions.
Your app selections and related Screen Time state are handled through Apple's system frameworks and are used only to enable the app-blocking feature you choose. Pomates does not use this information for advertising or tracking.
Apple Watch, Widgets, Notifications, and Live Activities
Pomates can share timer state between the iPhone app, Apple Watch app, widgets, notifications, and supported Live Activities so your current session remains visible and controllable across Apple surfaces.
Pomates may send local notifications for timer completion. These are generated on your device.
Analytics, Ads, and Tracking
Pomates does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs in the reviewed launch build. Pomates does not track you across apps or websites.
Data Sharing
Pomates does not sell your data. Pomates does not share your timer history, app-blocking selections, or preferences with third parties for advertising or tracking.
Some features rely on Apple system services and frameworks, such as Screen Time, notifications, widgets, Watch connectivity, and Live Activities. Those features are governed by Apple's platform privacy protections and your device settings.
Deleting Your Data
Because Pomates is local-first and does not require an account, deleting the app from your devices removes Pomates app data stored locally by the app, subject to normal iOS and watchOS system behaviour and backups.
You can also change or clear app-blocking selections from within Pomates where supported by the app interface.
Children's Privacy
Pomates is a general productivity and focus timer. It is not designed to collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as Pomates changes. The "Last updated" date will be changed when the policy is revised.
